Fascinating opportunity for a Social Media Manager to work on a climate change / sustainability client portfolio with a dynamic W1 agency.

Your location is irrelevant - this role can be undertaken remotely and is open to candidates across the world. However, working to European – mainly UK – timezones is crucial, as is client social media experience in climate change, environment and sustainability.

The ideal start date is mid / late August and the agency will consider a permanent or temp-to-perm candidate who freelances initially with a view to joining permanently. Please do not apply if you are only looking for freelance work.

The agency

Based in the heart of Soho, this advertising agency recently merged with a content marketing shop and offers a dynamic working environment and culture. The role sits within the agency’s specialist enterprise team.

The Social Media Manager role and its requirements

You will be joining a small but growing team that specialises in creative comms campaigns for climate and environmental clients. You will have plenty of support but, with social channels across three clients, you must be a self-starter.

The ideal candidate is confident and articulate, with very strong writing skills. Attention to detail is a must, as are excellent organisation skills.

You are comfortable with fairly complex subject matters and able to succinctly edit or summarise them into compelling social copy.

You also have proven experience managing Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram channels for global clients.

B2B experience would be useful but not essential. However, climate change, environmental and sustainability experience is essential.

You are proactive, creative and capable of working with design teams and creatives, but also able to put content together yourself if required.

The role will be client facing, so requires excellent client-servicing skills. You will be tasked with and want to grow your clients’ communities – and know how to do it.

Salary and benefitsThe salary is up to £35k based on experience and comes with some great hard and soft benefits.

Social Media Managers with previous experience of working on climate change, sustainability and environmental social media campaigns, please get in touch.

Whilst every effort is made to contact everyone who applies, we are unable to give individual feedback to those who are unsuccessful.
