Senior Account Manager – Specialist Fundraising Agency – London – To £45k

We have just picked up an extremely rare opportunity to join London’s standout specialist fundraising agency at Senior Account Manager level.

Experience on charity accounts is essential for the role and you can have either an agency OR client-side background.

So, if you are experienced in fundraising marketing on the client side and fancy a switch to the agency world this is an opportunity not to be missed.

Direct marketing experience is preferred and may give you an advantage, but fundraising sector experience is the only essential.

The role offers you the chance to be a very important cog in a close-knit organisation with bags of opportunity to grow.

The agency

This full-service fundraising agency only works with charity and not-for-profit clients. They enjoy the challenge of encouraging people to give and making them feel special when they do.

The agency specialises in direct marketing. In fact, around 80% of its campaigns are direct mail, alongside DRTV, press ads and inserts, with the remainder being digital.

The agency’s approach comes from a deep understanding of donor needs, backed by over 25 years of experience. They conduct research, analyse data, devise strategies, find solutions and deliver brilliant creative ideas. 


You have a passion for working with charities.

You are well versed on the agency side, managing some charity clients at either an experienced Account Manager or Senior Account Manager level.

Or you may be part of a fundraising team at a fast-paced charity, juggling many projects simultaneously – for example, heading up an Individual Giving team.

The Senior Account Manager role

You’ll be managing a number of DM projects simultaneously, so you’ll need to be very confident, accurate, eagle-eyed and organised, whilst enjoying a fast pace. You thrive on teamwork – confident enough to encourage others and share successes, but also to ask for help when you need to.

You enjoy working on inspiring strategic and creative campaigns.

You’ll be good at talking to people – in writing and face-to-face. Sometimes you’ll need to be tenacious, sometimes diplomatic, but always polite, professional and approachable.

Experience and skills required

  • Around 3 years’ fast-paced fundraising experience
  • 3 yrs+ dynamic creative agency / client-facing account handling skills with DM knowledge highly desirable
  • A passion for the charitable sector
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Great at building strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Confident manner
  • Excellent face-to-face presentation skills
  • Written and numerical accuracy
  • Budget management
  • Brief-writing ability
  • Keen attention to detail
