PR & Social Media Manager – Charity – North London – To £40k
Renowned charity seeks passionate, proactive PR and Social Media Manager with marketing and communications experience to grow awareness and drive revenue.
The charity
Confusingly, Southern Israel with its lack of infrastructure and inherent deprivation attracts far less charitable support than the country’s better-known causes.
This UK-based charity concentrates its fundraising efforts on the more impoverished parts of the South and their little-publicised problems.
They help the disadvantaged – the very young and old, sick, disabled and poor – of the region by transforming its deserts into the new beating heart of the country. They improve education, training, health, culture and the environment. They build schools and hospitals, provide youth projects, attract high-tech industry, and in turn provide humanitarian support to more than 1,000 communities.
An environmental trailblazer, the charity has also planted over 240 million trees, built 210 reservoirs and dams, developed over 250,000 acres of land and created more than 1,000 parks.
The PR & Social Media Manager role
Having recently celebrated its centenary, the charity is looking for an innovative, commercially minded PR and Social Media Manager to help it grow into an organisation fit for 21st century fundraising.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this is a key role that will elevate and accelerate the charity’s aims and objectives and appeal not only to its existing audience but also a younger dynamic.
An innovative problem solver with the ability to deliver creative appeal messages alongside results-driven solutions, you will be working on and offline to drive revenue and increase brand awareness.
Charity experience isn’t required, but you will have a track record in effective marketing and communications, management of strategies, and driving business growth through the strategic development through the creation and delivery of omni-channel campaigns both online and offline.
Channels include print and direct mail, e-comms (including newsletters), events, press coverage and social media exposure.
What’s required
- PR experience across all channels
- Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills
- A tactical understanding of all social media platforms and their analytics
- A strong, collaborative team player
- A sound commercial awareness
- Excellent planning and communication abilities
- A passion for and knowledge of Israel and its history
